Ranging from festivals, to concerts, parties, and tours, there’s something for everyone. There’s also a Halloween event for every budget – this list is split into events that cost over $25, under $25, and nothing at all! No matter what your budget is, you’ll be able celebrate spooky season properly with one of these events.

If you have a little money to spare, these Halloween events that cost $25 or more are a great option for you. There are a few events that are only 21+, but there are also options that are suitable for any age and families.
Candlelight Halloween Open Air: A Haunted Evening of Classical Compositions
What?
This is an outdoor, candlelit classical concert performed by a string quartet. The concert will include classical and modern spooky-themed music like “This Is Halloween” from The Nightmare Before Christmas, “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, “Hedwig’s Theme” from Harry Potter, “Marche Funèbre” by Chopin, and more. BYOB is allowed!

Halloween on the Roof at Ponce City Market
What?
This is a 21+ Halloween party that includes boardwalk games and rides and a “spooky dance party” hosted by DJ Opdiggy, as well as a costume contest. Halloween cocktails like Bloody Frozen Lemonade, Belvedere ice luge shots, and more will be for sale.

Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” in Concert
What?
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will be playing the Grammy-winning songs by Danny Elfman from The Nightmare Before Christmas during a live screening of the film. All guests must present a negative Covid test or a vaccination card.

Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Halloween Tours
What?
Capturing the Spirit of Oakland tours bring the stories of some of the cemetery’s notable residents to life and allow visitors to experience Oakland Cemetery after dark. A costumed docent guides you through the cemetery’s Victorian Garden. The tour also includes musical performances, and guests are encouraged to arrive in costume.
Your ticket time is when you’ll be admitted into the cemetery. Once inside, you can buy a drink and mingle before joining the tours that start every 15 minutes and last approximately 75 minutes.

What?
Boos and Brews is a daytime Halloween festival with beer, wine, cocktails, live music, and a DJ. Tickets include entry, entertainment, a souvenir cup, and all alcohol samples.

For all my free 99 lovers – all of these events are completely free! There are a few conditions for some (free before a certain time) or opportunities to spend money (the Halloween market), but if you’re determined to not spend much money this Halloween, you’ll be able to do it with these events!
Latin and International Monster Bash
What?
This Latin and International Halloween event will feature several DJs, great music, lights, and a costume contest. The top 5 winners of the costume party will share $2,500 in cash and prizes. There will be free parking and drink specials from the sponsors of the event, Bacardi and Dos Equis. Costumes mandatory!

What?
If you’ve attended the infamous L5P Halloween Festival and Parade in the past, you’ll be relieved to know that despite the usual parade being canceled, an alternative event has been planned. This year, there will be the L5P Monster Fest featuring Professor Morte’s Haunted Market, a Monster Hunt, and Tito’s Monster Cocktail Parade.

It all starts at the L5P Community Center and on Euclid and Findley Plaza
Who?
Anyone can attend the Market and participate in the Monster Hunt for free, but the Cocktail Parade is reserved for those who are 21+.

The market will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16, and Sunday, Oct. 17 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. while the Monster Hunt will only be on Saturday and the Cocktail Parade will only be on Sunday.
